Ch.6 What is the Guide?

Aloha this is six minutes to save the world, a six minute space of sound where I start to describe software thats being built right now with huge implications for our social and ecological wellbeing.

We have been calling it The Guide.

It’s logistical software for individuals, organizations and communities.

It’s a visual reference for solving any scale problem at the fundamental level of you.

How you fit into the puzzle no matter how small or large

what tasks are required or training necessary or available.

lodging, food production, storage, waste scheduling, as much or as little is needed for a groups functionality, leadership needs, ecological impacts, future projections.

the implications for this technology to be used for your community. its huge.

parts of this technology are scattered across the internet and in businesses.

it’s wouldn’t naturally come together in a society that functions solely on the concepts of money as value.

there isn’t a way that greed corrupts this technology without serious effort.

now 300 years ago, people were probably saying that about our own government, and it’s done its best for that time,

But now the world is big. and by that I mean there are a lot of us. billions of us.

a hundred years ago we were barely touching the billion mark and we’re well on our way to double digits.

we’ve seen what the best of constitutions the best of governments, with some fairly decent people from time to time in key positions. I’m not glorifying or apologizing for our leadership, I’m just trying to stay nuetral and it is what it is. This is what we’ve got, and that goes for our brothers and sister around the world.

Not all of us have played an active role in how our countries are governed but it’s time that we did.

And with a tool like this, were able to, Our constitution could be that much better and more served by the people and to the people.

I’m saying organizing new structures, new ways of being an citizen adventurer, a social leader, build new organizations, revamp old ones, boost efficiency, eliminate class, unionize, make a whole new society built on visible fairness.

visible logistical referencing so that our best efforts can be shared and truly effective truly shared with the community.

and this isnt communism it’s nothing like the idea of communism, look we have technology, we have superior farming methods even without large equipment, Cho’s natural farming, fukuokas principles, hydroponics, i mean theres a guy whos done the logistics of making high rises feed al of new york.

if he had a tool like the guide, people could sign up, show up, do work, rase funddsacquire mmaerials, change laws, write grants, do the things that large scale corporations are doing to run the planet, except for ourselves, for our communities, and for their health and longevity and not by some happenstance we find ourselves living, for the shortsightedness that is inherent in corporate capitalism, I’m even willing to go as far as saying that money as a trade value or currency is flawed, its a flawed power sturcture that hangs over our heads and we’ve had a good long multi generational experiment to show us it’s benefits as well as it’s serious social and ecological drawbacks.

So we are trying to present an alternative that can flow easily from the developed world as well as building cities entirely from scratch in the developing one.

cities with our greatest minds and the flexibility of community to realize amazing things, amazing potentials.
